What is hard about this route

Hospitality apprenticeships commonly pay toward the bottom of the national range, and hours include evenings, weekends and peak seasons. Choose it because you want the career, not because entry is easier.

What you will be paid

We do not publish a figure for this sector, because no primary source reports reliable per-sector apprentice pay. Nationally the statutory minimum is €724 a month in 2026, and the first-year average among collectively bargained employers was €1,117 in 2025.

Which of those you get depends on whether your employer is bound by a collective agreement. We check that and tell you before you sign anything.
