What is hard about this route

Bakery shifts often begin between 3am and 5am. Some roles involve meat processing, which may not suit every applicant on dietary or religious grounds — tell us early and we will route you elsewhere.

What you will be paid

We do not publish a figure for this sector, because no primary source reports reliable per-sector apprentice pay. Nationally the statutory minimum is €724 a month in 2026, and the first-year average among collectively bargained employers was €1,117 in 2025.

Which of those you get depends on whether your employer is bound by a collective agreement. We check that and tell you before you sign anything.
